This is a traditionally served on Christmas Eve in the Strommen family. Ground chuck meatballs made with onions that are simmered in a sweet and sour sauce.

Equal portions of grape jelly and chili sauce (comes in bottle)
Finely chopped onion to taste
- Mix jelly and chili sauce in saucepan. Make sure the mixture will be enough to cover the meatballs. Heat and simmer.
- Mix ground chuck and onions. Shape into small balls. Brown them slightly and put in sauce. Cook them until done in sauce.
- These should be cooked ahead of time so the sauce soaks into the meatballs by the time they will be served. This can also be frozen and reheated in the oven.
