Ham Balls

Meatballs made with ham, pork and crushed crackers, baked in a brown sugar, vinegar, and mustard sauce.

1 ½ lbs ground pork
1 ½ lbs ground ham (ground together with the pork)
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup crushed crackers
1 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste

1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white vinegar
½ cup water
2 tsp. dry mustard


  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Make meat mixture and shape into balls the size of walnuts or a little larger.
  2. Place in baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 1 ½ hours.
  3. Uncover and drain off fat. Pour on sauce and bake for an additional 30-45 minutes. Leave uncovered and baste meat with sauce at least twice during the final baking time.
