Creamy Corn Bread

A moist corn bread made with creamed corn and applesauce. This bread contains no fat!

1 cup cornmeal
½ cup whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
2 ½ Tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
1/3 cup of applesauce
¾ cup skim milk
2 egg whites
1 15oz can creamed corn


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray an 8X8 pan and preheat the pan for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Pour batter into the heated pan and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Refrigerate leftovers; don’t leave set out on counter.
