German Potato Salad

2 diced onions
1 lb bacon
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
3 Tbsp flour
3/4 cup water
4 15-oz cans sliced potatoes


  1. Dice bacon and fry.
  2. Add vinegar and sugar (mixed) to most of bacon fat. Thicken with 3 Tbsp flour and 3/4 cup water.
  3. Pour over potatoes, diced onion, and bacon. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
