-By Shirley (Buckner) Salzer

4 lbs beef & pork, cubed
1 can water chestnuts
1 can bamboo shoots
1 large can bean sprouts
3 Tbsp corn starch
6 med. onions, diced
10-12 celery ribs, diced
soy sauce
cooked rice

  1. Brown meat in a small amount of oil. Do this in small amounts to seal in the juices.
  2. Take juice from sprouts, 10 shakes of soy sauce and blend with corn starch. Combine with meat. Cook and add water as it thickens, if needed, 20 min.
  3. Add onion and celery. Cook 1 1/2 hours on low heat.
  4. Add rest of ingredients and serve over a bed of rice.
