Chicken with a unique chocolate sauce made from bittersweet chocolate, dry white wine, garlic, and onion.

2 lb chicken
3 Tbsp butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 cup water
½ cup dry white wine
1 oz bittersweet chocolate, finely grated
- Brown chicken in butter.
- Add onion and garlic to chicken and sauté over medium heat until the onion has softened – about 5 minutes.
- Pour in water and wine. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
- Add chocolate and simmer until tender, 15 – 30 minutes more.
