One of Chris Strommen’s favorite fall-weather foods, this chili-like dish is made with ground beef, garlic, onion, celery, green peppers and elbow macaroni all mixed together and set to simmer in a spaghetti sauce.

2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion
2 stalks celery
1 24-oz can or jar hunts spaghetti sauce
1 green pepper
garlic powder to taste
season salt to taste
1 lb elbow macaroni
- Cook elbow macaroni according to package. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef, drain.
- Add onion and brown.
- Add celery, green pepper, tomato sauce, and garlic, and season salt (to taste).
- Add cooked macaroni. Heat through and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
