Sausage Manicotti

Italian sausage and mozzarella cheese-stuffed manicotti baked in a mushroom spaghetti sauce.

1 box manicotti Shells
1 lb. Italian sausage
1 onion chopped
1 package shredded mozzarella (any size)
2 jars (15oz) marinara or mush. spaghetti sauce
1/2 C. water
1/4 C. grated parmesan or Romano


  1. Brown sausage and onion together. Mix in mozzarella. Let cool enough so you can handle it with your hands.
  2. Stuff uncooked shells with mixture. Spread 1/2 jar sauce in greased 9X13 baking pan.
  3. Arrange manicotti. Pour remaining sauce and water over manicotti. Cover tightly.
  4. Bake in 350 oven 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 -20 minutes longer or until tender. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top and serve.
