Ground beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing are baked into this savory pie.

1 lb ground beef
2/3 cup Quaker oats
½ cup Thousand Island dressing
¾ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 16-oz can sauerkraut, drained
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 ½ tsp caraway seed
- For meat pie shell, combine all ingredients; mix well. Press onto bottom and sides of 9-inch pie plate. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; drain fat or soak up with paper towel.
- For filling, combine all ingredients; toss lightly, mixing well. Spoon into partially baked meat shell. Continue baking 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut into wedges. Serve with additional Thousand Island dressing if desired.
