Green Beans with Toasted Almonds

French-style green beans topped with almonds that have been toasted in butter.

1 bag French cut green beans, frozen
½ cup slivered almonds
1 Tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Cook green beans according to package. Drain water.
  2. About 2 minutes before the green beans are done cooking, in a small frying pan over low heat, melt butter. Add slivered almonds and stir constantly.
  3. As soon as they turn golden brown, remove from heat and pour almonds and butter over cooked green beans.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
