French-style green beans topped with almonds that have been toasted in butter.

1 bag French cut green beans, frozen
½ cup slivered almonds
1 Tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
- Cook green beans according to package. Drain water.
- About 2 minutes before the green beans are done cooking, in a small frying pan over low heat, melt butter. Add slivered almonds and stir constantly.
- As soon as they turn golden brown, remove from heat and pour almonds and butter over cooked green beans.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
