The Strommen family traditionally stuffs the Thanksgiving turkey with this dressing, which includes pork, apple, celery, and onions. Tastes great with the some sauce from the sweet potatoes (brown sugar sauce) drizzled over the top!

1 ½ lbs ground pork (1 ½ tubes Bob Evan Savory Sage)
1 can bread crumbs
2 gala apples chopped, with peels
2 – 3 stalks celery, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
- In a large bowl, mix enough warm water into bread crumbs to make them wet but not pasty.
- Add pork, apples, celery and onion to the mixture and mix well.
- Push a hole into the center of the meat mixture, crack the eggs into the hole, beat and then mix them into the meat. Refrigerate overnight to make sure the stuffing is the same temperature as the turkey when stuffing.
