Salsa Powder

Your favorite salsa turned into a powder that you can use as a seasoning!

Your favorite prepared salsa

  1. Place the fruit-roll-up tray (the solid-plastic, circular trays – most food dehydrators come with at least one) into your food dehydrator. Pour as much salsa into the tray that will fit without spilling over the sides.
  2. Set to dehydrate at about 100 degrees F for about 8 hours or until the salsa is no longer moist. It must be completely dried out.
  3. Once the salsa is dried, break it apart so it will fit into a food processor (I use the Magic Bullet for this). Grind it into a fine powder.
  4. Store the salsa in a shaker so it’s easy to dispense onto your favorite foods. It will keep for a long time. It’s really good on cooked veggies, fish, and eggs among other things.
