Creamy Garlic Sauce

Homemade cream sauce with lots of garlic that is perfect for serving over pasta.

½ cup water, divided
2 Tbsp chopped garlic
1 tsp garlic powder
2 cups heavy cream
1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp cornstarch


  1. Pour half of the water into a saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and garlic powder, and boil until the water has almost evaporated, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream, parsley, salt and pepper. Mix the cornstarch with the remaining water, and stir into the sauce.
  4. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 3 minutes.
