Cranberry-Orange Poultry Sauce

This sweet sauce is wonderful served over chicken, turkey, or wild game.

Ingredients:

¼ cup cold water
2 Tbsp sugar
½ tsp cornstarch
1/8 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp garlic powder
½ cup fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed
2 Tbsp orange marmalade

Directions:

  1. Combine ¼ cup cold water, sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic powder in a saucepan; stir well.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
  3. Stir in cranberries and marmalade; cook 5 minutes or until cranberry skins pop.
  4. Serve with Cornish hens, turkey or other poultry. Yields 2 servings.
