Snickerdoodles

Snickerdoodles Cinnamon and sugar coated cookies that will melt in your mouth.

Ingredients:

½ cup butter, softened
½ cup shortening
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp soda
¼ tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, 1 ½ cup sugar and eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tarter, soda, and salt.
  3. Shape dough by rounding teaspoons into balls.
  4. Mix 2 Tbsp of sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
