This is a collection of all the recipes the Strommen family has enjoyed for generations. They are not necessarily recipes that we have made up, although some of them are.

These represent the typical meals that you would likely find us sitting down to eat.  You will find a few German and Norwegian recipes because of our family’s heritage.

Carrie (Strommen) Lennie recently worked on a five-year project collecting these recipes from all the family members and hand-writing them into four leather-bound journals that were distributed to her two brothers, her parents and herself. Aside from some recipes that were classified as “secret”, the recipes are now all online for everyone to enjoy!

Christmas 1985

You can either browse the recipes by category by selecting one of the categories over on the side-bar on this screen, or you can search for something using the search tool.

The search will not only find recipe names, but also ingredients, or directions. Basically any text that is in the recipe can be found. If you want to find a recipe that has pork, you can just search for pork and it should show you every recipe that has that ingredient.

We hope you love these recipes as much as we do.  Maybe you’ll even find something that turns into a family tradition at your own dinner table!  Enjoy.
